The Adirondack Balloon Festival

Saturday we went with Mike's folks up to Sutton's Marketplace for lunch and shopped around the gift store for a while. We also stopped in at the Carter's outlet (of course!) and then finally made our way to the balloon festival. Even though the traffic was horrific (Over 3 hours standing nearly still to get in and out), it was worth it to see Emma so excited and pointing to all the balloons in the sky. What a gorgeous fall day - great times!

Sawyer's First Birthday

We had a fun night at the Zal's to celebrate Sawyer's Birthday - it's getting me excited for Emma's first in less than 3 months! Hard to believe! It's way past time to be in bed - but I'm oddly awake so I'll share a few photos...

Take care!

I've been Tagged

by Shelly Howe.

Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird. *Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.* Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

1. I LOVE taking pictures. The fact that my daughter is only 9 months old and already grins for the camera ought to be proof of that :)

2. I used my VERY HARD earned Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering for less than 3 months before transferring to Human Resources.

3. Although with the exactly perfect weather conditions, I do enjoy being outdoors... I hate all things creepy and crawly - especially BATS, they are the worst!

4. I don't like fruit...or milk.. yes this counts as pretty weird seeing as I don't even have good reason for being this way. I'm pretty sure it's all in my mind, but a mind is a pretty hard thing to change.

5. I grew up in a candy store...literally... and my love for chocolate and all things sweet is still very much a part of who I am. Even if we're on vacation, I still need to check out the local shops and compare... so far I haven't found one piece I like better than my Dad's :) YUMMY.

6. I turned down my husband three times before giving in to go on a date with him... so glad I did... we've been married 4 great years and just had a healthy, adorable little girl 9 months ago - "All because 2 people fell in love."

7. I've been to 11 countries (England, France, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, Mexico and Canada, plus the US), 39 states, all 5 great lakes, the Atlantic, Pacific, Adriatic, Agean and Caribbean Seas/Oceans... love to travel!!

I tag Nicki, Sara, Jill, Lisa, Ellie and Katie & Christina (since you haven't responded to Shelly's yet :))

Ogunquit, Maine

Sunday night after Altamont Convention, Matt, Nicki and Jack came out and we went together up to Ogunquit, Maine. We had really great weather and it was a blast. The vacation was sure a lot more work with two babies, but it was still a lot of fun!

We had wonderful days at both Freedom and Altamont - somehow they just keep getting better! It was also quite a change to have a little one to care for - but Emma did splendidly. Here are a few shots!

Emma is 5+ Months Old!

We are so enjoying the warm weather. Getting out for a few walks, enjoying the outdoors - especially all the beautiful flowers! Mike's folks came out a few weekends ago and we went down to see all the tulips in Albany. We've had such nice days here - enjoying our little girl! It's so much fun to hear her giggle and look all around then look you right in the eye. She's a little snuggler and I love putting her in bed with me after Mike leaves for work for some cuddle time - she's so happy in the morning! Loving life!

It's all about Emma

Emma 3.5 months old already!

at 2.5 months...

So, now that our life solely consists of meeting Emma's every need...it's a lot of fun!! She's starting to smile and coo and definitely recognizes us - so awesome! I still don't know how people have more than 1 child, but maybe we'll get there eventually. I'm back to work 3 days a week, and working from home so that is just so amazingly helpful. I love my job and it just makes the 'separation' so much easier. Looking forward to warmer weather coming our days - it's been a rainy few days, but maybe that will help the flowers grow!!

Happy Valentines Day - 2/14/08
